I stayed at the Tai wan Hotel on the 3rd floor of the chungking in January 07... when I checked in the lady at the front desk was just interested in getting my money... First room she shows me was a mess even by backpacker standards... so I asked her to show me a room on the other side of the hotel... the good rooms, NO. No, no she said those rooms are 300 Hong Kong dollars I told her well that’s what I want... then she said no all full.. then she took me to a back room located in get this the sheet close... well it was much better than the first one she showed me...

Located a few hours North of Dali, South West of Lijiang. once a transfer town on the Tea Horse Route, Shaxi was renovated by a swiss NGO in 2001. situated in the middle of a Valley, surounded by pine covered hill, which host 1000 year old Grotos and a hand full of small lakes.

the town is quiet, sleepy even. if your looking for a side trip on your way from Dali to Lijiang, it worth a trip. though the renovation has given Shaxi a museum feel to the place, it's still very relaxing.

not many places possible in Kunming. It's clean but not so cheap, and the welcome is like the building and rooms: quite industrial and not quiet at all.

I saw the boss of this pizza -- a french man attacking his staff -- a little naxi girl very hard in the street! So terrible! I won't go there!!!!!!!!!

Very very expensive! So bad service! The food is ugly! So noisy!

 最地道的云南小粒咖啡，我是在丽江古城的阿酷咖啡品尝到的。
   如果我没记错，应该是离大水车不远，靠左走直走过去，新义街的第一个拐弯吧，往卖草场去的那个小巷，路边还有一条小河，和听说比较有名的BLUE PAGE相比，我更喜欢阿酷咖啡馆的安静，楼下随意布置的茶几和座位，清晨去时，阳光悄悄地泄进屋里。楼上一般人是比较多的，风景特别好，满眼都是山上的青瓦绿树，视线开阔，有一台电闹，还有诸多的杂志书籍，让大家随意翻看。没什么事的时候，独自一人抱了本书躲在2层，懒散地倚在沙发上，点一杯云南小粒咖啡，不过才十几元钱，品起来却比酒吧一条街里淡若白水的蓝山咖啡香浓。听着轻柔的音乐，好像这个世界上再没有什么烦心的事情......雨不知何时下了起来，淅沥哗啦地打断了我的惬意，趴在窗台上，低头看看小巷子里躲雨奔跑的人群，抬头看看隔巷相望的不远处的特色的檐角，时间好像为我而静止。
