The roads from Chengdu to Rilong Town is in a good conditon.
It is cool for sight-seeing, hiking and horse riding.
The style there is so cool and amazing even for me. And they are well preserved.
I didn't try their "hot pot" specialty because some other customers were eating it and it didn't look over-the-top appealing. We tried 2 vegetable dishes: a stir fried mushroom dish and a stir fried vegetable dish. Both were pretty good but not spectacular. My friend got a plate of fried "er quai" to go. Each dish was 5 yuan. Together with our two bowls of rice (5 yuan total) we had a decent meal for 15 yuan (plus the er quai take away for the dog)
I visited Monkey Jane's im August 2005. The rooms are 60 yuan per night.
The new owners took over in March 2005.The guesthouse is up an alley way. A little difficult to find, but the rooftop bar has splendid views.
