Accomodation in Bejing/Xian/Hong Kong

  Joined: 2005-12-28 Points: 11 | Does anyone know a good web site to book accomodation in these cities? Can anyone recomend a good hotel that is reasonably priced and close to the city center? Can you book hotels and train tickets with a single company to gain discount?

Although you will probably get better rates by just showing up and looking for a place after you arrive, if you really want to book a hostel ahead of time, you could try hostelworld.

What kind of accommodation are you looking for? Private room or dorm bed? What price range?

The type of accomodation depends on the price.
I guess I would like to be paying around £30 for a double room for a night. Around $60. I guess I can get a 3* hotel for that. If I can make this a little cheaper I will.
In reponse to another question I guess I am now traveling via Shanghai so I will be looking for hotels in Bejing, Shanghai and Hong Kong.

Since listing this I have now booked accomodation in Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong. I found out form the forum that it was more difficult than I though to get from Xian to Hong Kong so needed to make a change.
