The town of Xiaqiaotou (called Qiaotou by travellers) is the standard launchpad for treks through Tiger Leaping Gorge. All busses to and from Deqin and Zhongdian (to the north) and Lijiang and Dali (to the south) pass through this town, so you can hop on most any bus if you'd like to come here.
