The food here is about as expensive as the other Potala, but comes with a much better view (go to the 3rd floor). The portions are a bit on the small side, however. If you want some curry, don't order the "Curry Potato." It doesn't contain any curry, but is smothered in a lot of vegetable oil and garnished with pickled vegetables. It might have to do with the fact that it's translated incorrectly on the menu. All of the food was on the oily side, but the oil on the "Liang Fen" was mainly sesame oil, which was a nice touch.
The "Momo" dish here is more like a set of small "Bao zi" (steamed buns) with a pork filling. Unfortunately, my girlfriend makes better "Bao zi" than these momos. I ended up throwing away the pork insides and refilling the (dry) bun with our delicious fresh yogurt in sweetened yak butter dish.
If you can't stand Chinese smooth jazz and soft rock, this might not be the place to enjoy your meal, since that's the music played at high volume. All in all a reasonable place to eat, but not the best value for the money.
