 Joined: 2005-10-23 Points: 5 | I was just wondering is it necessary to book rooms in advance in the guesthouses before we arrive at Yunnan? Will it be possible to book a room when we are already there? I know it's easier to confirm the rooms first prior to our arrival but sometimes arrangements are hard to make over long-distance phone calls and through email, there could be miscommunications with differences in languages... And for registering with the public secruity bureau with regards to staying with the locals, what is the address of the PSB in Yunnan? |

No need to book ahead. There are
plenty of beds/rooms in guesthouses.
If you are staying in a hotel or guesthouse,
you don't have to register with the PSB.
Otherwise, it is easy for you to locate them
after you arrive in each place.
