One of the prime stops on the western backpacker trail due to the surrounding karst peaks and less-hectic-than-Guilin atmosphere. West Street (Xi Jie) closer to the eastern side of town, is the place to find western style food, bars, and lodging, many of which are run by western ex-pats.
