Nothing beats local knowledge & the literature you are about to
peruse, has been translated from Chinese to English, in a sincere
attempt to present an accurate account of significant activities
& useful information, previously not readily known to foreigners
with their sights set on this charming locality and its fascinating
surrounds.
Ideally, translation should be more than simply changing the words
of one language into another. It is understood and appreciated that
people from different cultures process & disseminate data differently.
Low-context cultures (e.g. North America, the British Isles, Australia,
& the Scandinavian countries) are much more precise in their commun-
ication. High-context cultures (such as China) are the exact opposite.

this stage, only to supply copies of the book to
people in Chengdu.
