Hebei Guest Hotel, Beijing

  Joined: 2005-12-28 Points: 11 | I have booked into the Hebei Guest Hotel, Beijing. Does anyone know what this hotel is like? It is a court yard hotel and seems to be located in the centre of Beijing. |

I just booked a room over there and i have heard really mixed reviews...should i cancel?

I just returned from Beijing and stayed in the Hebei Guest Hotel for 5 days. Should have looked for another hotel but my friend and I were too tired after 15 hrs train travel. The only advantage is that it's in the centre, but there are many more hotels in the centre. Girls at reception not friendly, on top of that they ripped us off. we changed room and were charged 500Yuan more than mentioned in the flyer; we also payed 1000 Yuan to Mutiyanu to see the wall, whereas this should have been 250!!!!(we discovered that afterwards). They asked 3000Yuan as well for a taxi to Shijiazhuang (250 kms from Beijing); via somebody else we met in Beijing we paid 1000Yuan for a taxi.
so i wld strongly advise to cancel this hotel!!!!
