My husband is English. He is married with a Chinese citizen and has registered business in Lijiang. He has to get his visa renewed every now and then. Before he just went to Hongkong to get a 1-year visa. Recently there are some new regulations such as the F-visa to be issued max 6-month. Since we are in Lijiang and have to run business, it's really not convenient for him to go away every 6 month. Does anybody know other ways to renew visa? Someone just said people go to Kunming to do it but without any detail information. We really approciate it if anyone could help.

Hi,
I am new to Kunming and will be here until August 9th at Yunnan Agricultural University. I would love to meet some people to do some exploring while I am here. I love socializing and am feeling a little lonely out here. Anybody have fun plans that I can be included in?
Thanks,
Jen Krenz

I'm looking for cheap flights from Kunming or Lijiang to Hong Kong. The cheapest one I have found so far is with Dragonair for about EUR 200 one way. Surely there must be better deals?
I’m planning to travel in august in the malipo-maguan-Dongan area, near the China-Vietnam border. Is there anyone who could give me some information about those areas? In particular are there any restricted places where I might encounter difficulties entering? I'm mostly interested in hill tribes markets. Thanks
Hi there,
We're looking for an agency to book for a transportation from Shangri-la to Lijiang. We'll be going to Kunming on 14th May and leaving from Shangri-la to Lijiang on 19th May. We're travelling in a group of 4.
Do anyone out there know a Micheal Yang Travel booking office in Dali? He was recommended by a traveller as a reliable booking agent unfortunately his email address mentioned is incorrect. Mentioned was: micheal-yang44@hotmail.com. Appreciate if anyone knows his correct email address.
Thank you for attention and hope to get some informations.
Help please! Arrived in Xiaguan three weeks
Some people said after visiting Bita Hai/Shudu, you don't need to go to Lugu anymore. Is it really like that?
I will be spending 2 weeks in Zhongdian/Shangri-La to explore and photograph. Is it possible to hire a car so that I can explore on my own, if not do you have any recommendations for hiring an english speaking driver that would not mind getting up early and staying out late to allow me to capture the best light.
Thanks--Ed
