The Cow was the first bar in the old town, open before the massive renovation frenzy that has turned a quiet residential area into the "largest concentration of bars per tibetan in the world."

It features a pool table, a quality dart board, and until late in 2004, an extremely infamous toilet. The Cow's allure has always been its proprietor. Last year, that was Peter from Sweden, who is unfortunately still not back in town from his trip back home.
