Review of Speakeasy Bar by spartacus (0), 21 mars 2008

Speakeasy has been one of the only places to go in Kunming for years, especially for live music and parties and it is still hard to find a more genuine bar feel anywhere in China.  Yes the toilets smell and I agree that the chinese partner is a liability but the Western partner is about as friendly and helpful a person as you'll ever meet. In fact I wouldn't say the Speakeasy has more fights than any successful bar of equivalent size in China or the rest of the world for that matter.  Definitely a place to check out for any underground culture - Rock music, Hip Hop, Electronic music etc.
