Hi,

I will be following a tour to Hainan next week, and I plan to backpack to Xian from there. I notice that there is no direct train from Haikou to Xian and the best way is from Haikou-Guangzhou then from Guangzhou to Xian. I have a few problems here:

1) My last day in Hainan is Saturday and I realize that the train from Haikou to Guangzhou is only available on weekdays. Anyone out there know whether any train schedule on weekend to Guangzhou?

2) I could not find whether the train from Guangzhou to Xian is daily or not. Any idea on this?

There is a national park near Xi'an called Three Beaches which is easy to get to by train and has no mass tourism. You can do easy or more challenging hikes and go swimming and rafting.
