Yingkou is not generally considered to be a tourist destination. One interesting point about the city is that there is a massive salt pan, approximately 200 million square meters big (maybe more than six times the size of the city itself). Salt production has been important in the history of Yingkou, and the grain fields around the area are all fairly dry (but productive) ones.
