CHENGDU, China, Dec. 10 (UPI) -- Doctors in China said they found and removed a rusty needle stuck in a Chinese girl's head for 11 years.

The needle apparently had been inserted by relatives to try to kill the girl when she was an infant, a common practice in a culture that values males, and in a country with a "one couple, one child" family policy, The Times of London reported Thursday,
