Review of Bus between Zhongdian/Xianggelila and Lhasa by chengduchris (10), August 11, 2005
I think this guy is crazy making money! Fly to Chengdu, where you at almost every travelagency either get a flightticket Chengdu - Lhasa including permit for around 1.990,- RMB Yuan, or a overland permit, actually these are about 5 permits for around 500 Yuan, which allows you to take a bus or go by jeep overland to Lhasa. And these permits are LEGAL. Don\'t know if the permits you get from this guy are legal. Wish you good luck.
Review of Old House Of Abu by amyinchina (10), July 28, 2005
old house, true, but not worth the visit. Abu is sweet enough, but he'll spend many, many minutes showing you pics of all the other tourists who were suckered in. he'll definitely try and make closer contact with the women out there, and will repeat the same thing about Mao's troops doing something there, which we weren't able to understand even knowing some mandarin. better to just wave from the street!

The temple here has a very big square and just to sit on the steps in the square, time may become still...
Review of The Hump by andi (10), July 28, 2005
agreeing with wocca, the hump is the place to stay if you want it wild. located just in the centre of town, it's a good place to head out for a good night's party (and have an easy time getting home afterwards... no taxi or hour-long walks needed).
if you'd rather be sober and quiet, check the camellia, or (even more sober) the kunhu hotel. happy trails.

Review of folk custom -- candy making craft by meisje (96), July 20, 2005
For such candy, they can be made to different shapes, especially animals.
With a compass-liked flat plate and one wooden arrow, you turn round the arrow and then you will get the candy shaped the same as this pattern, which the arrow pointing at.
And it is sometimes the arrow will point at nothing, and then it means you get nothing.
Review of The Den by abused (21), July 19, 2005
see my comment on the Vic's page. the same people own the 2 clubs and these people frequently beat and abuse customers, often ending in long term hospitaliziation.
Review of Vics by abused (21), July 19, 2005
I started a campain against this club after i was attacked and beaten to unconsciousness by the 5 male security guards. I am a 23 yar old Australian female.
since i have made this public after the police did nothing to help me or bring justice to the club and its staff. more tahn 2 dozen other people have written to me met o tell me similar stories.
the security guards are heavily built steroid taking violent creatures. they become aggressive very quickly at any hint of trouble taking out aggression by punching whoever may get in their way.
Vics and teh Den are run by the same 2 men and many people have alos been hospitalizied after visiting the Den.
