Hi all,

I was just wondering if you can buy Rail Passes for travelling around in China. If so, could anyone give me a url or a name so that I can Google it.

Thank you for your time Smile

Shocked

Haven't heard of any special rail passes in China.
The country is just so incredibly big. With such a
large population, the times & distances involved
travelling by train doesn't seem to necessitate the
type of passes being referred to in this thread.

There are various costs & types of sleeper berths,
and seats available anyhow.

Have you followed the link at the top of this page
to the TRAIN SCHEDULES ?

Be aware that it is difficult to get seats (especially
sleeper berths) during the peak domestic holidays,
because MANY Chinese return to their hometowns.

These periods are during Spring Festival (January
or February), and the Labour Day (May) & National
Day (October) "golden weeks".

Cool

Sometimes, if you want to cover a large distance and to save time, the best way is to fly. Smile
