There are several places (Treehouse Cafe, Haiwei Trails, Khampa Caravan, Snowland Restaurant, Traveller's Club, or the Tibet Tourism Bureau itself) which can organize the trip. The wholesale price for the (one-way) trip is going to be around 12,000 yuan for the jeep itself. You'll also pay a small commission to whomever organizes the trip as well as the cost of your permit to get into Tibet. Often, if the jeep is full, the price per person ends up being around 4000-6000 yuan. Once it starts snowing (Roughly Late October--Early April in Xianggelila town itself), it might be difficult to find someone willing to drive. Even if you do find someone, snow on the passes will very likely cause delays in your trip. There are two other options for getting to Lhasa, both of which are cheaper. One is the daily (during the summer) flight, and the other is a bus which isn't officially open to foreigners. All three options are unlikely to be running during the Chinese New Year, so plan ahead.
