Well, finally next month we will be off to China! We are doing a tour from Hong Kong to Beijing overland and are counting down the days
The issue of tipping has been raised and after having a look around the net, I thought this would be the best place to ask some questions, so if someone could answer them for me, it would be most appreciated 1. Do Chinese people on a Chinese Tour in China tip? 2. Is tipping also known as "Stupid Foreigner Tax"? *LOL* 3. In Chinese culture, is the idea of tipping insulting? and if so why? Thank you all for your time |

Tipping is generally not a common practice in China. On any specially organized tour, you could check with the guide for any peculiar circumstances.
