En Masse Entertainment’s Senior Product Manager answered some questions about the future for TERA.

TERA is an MMORPG that attracted a lot of interests upon its launch because of its unique style and combat system. The game met a greater spiral in recognition once it became free to download. Even though TERA still has some challenges to overcome, it’s clear that gamers continue to find motives to go back to this game. The game was also lately released for consoles, so there’s a lot to be excited for with regards to TERA’s future prospect.

To find out more about the game’s present situation and plans for the future, we reached out to En Masse Entertainment and the company’s Senior Product Manager Matthew Denomme offered the following answers.

Since Open Beta we’ve launched the game completely and, with more players, we’ve singled out a number of other issues that we are working with the game’s developers to solve as soon as possible.

1.TERA has undergone numerous changes since its release. What do you think of the present situation of the game and player experience?

The TERA development team supports the game and is continuously make new additions for players to enjoy, such as new dungeons, classes, events, social functions, and other helpful improvements and bug fixes. TERA’s longevity and players’ loyalty towards the game I think proves the quality of Bluehole’s proceeding development support and En Masse’s live service support for the game, though there is always something we can improve. Non-gender-locked classes and general support for PvP content are, in my opinion, two areas where players would love to see us enhance, and we’ve made some progresses in those areas with the addition of battleground leaderboards and the male brawler in March 2018’s Counterpunch update.

We lately gained some insight into what Bluehole has prepared for TERA for the rest of 2018 and more, and we are really excited with what they’re planning…and we think players will be too!

2.What type of response did you received from the Open Beta of the console versions and what kind of fixes players can anticipate in the future?

The Open Beta showed some bottlenecks: places where gamers crowd during leveling or common social spaces that contributed to unsatisfactory performance, and sometimes crashing and client freezes. We fixed this during our second Open Beta a week later by adding more channels (think separate instances of the same area) and that seemed to be very helpful. While these areas still encounter some performance issues, they are no more a roadblock to players.

Since Open Beta we’ve launched the game completely and, with more players, we’ve singled out a number of other issues that we are working with the game’s developers to tera buy gold solve as soon as possible.
