Review of Chapter One by Wocca (748), 9. Juni 2005
Chapter One has a spacious upstairs area, which is usually very quiet. This is good, especially for foreigners who like to read or use their laptop computers.
Review of Napa Lake by wtanaka (648), 29. April 2005
Find out if the lake has dried up before you go, since it often doesn't have any water in it. Other than that, it's a nice scenic area, like much of the outskirts of town.
Review of Hot Springs by wtanaka (648), 29. April 2005
Although the water here is too warm for a workout, if you're looking for a swim, the water's warm here even during the winter, unlike the pool at the Paradise Hotel. It's also much cheaper. Expect a natural swimming pool instead of some kind of nature reserve. Apparently there's an interesting cave nearby that you can descend into on a rope as well.
Review of Ganden Sumtseling (Songzanlin) Monastery by wtanaka (648), 25. April 2005
If you only see one thing while you're in town, this should be it. You can spend just 10 minutes going through the main hall, or you can literally spend hours wandering around the many monks' houses scattered over the hill. Find a monk that is interested in talking with you -- it's often quite a pleasant experience.
Review of Guishan Temple by wtanaka (648), 25. April 2005
The place is really small, and it's hard to argue that the giant prayer wheel has any cultural significance
Review of Kangba Supermarket by wtanaka (648), 25. April 2005
The ping pong here is great

Review of Beijing Dou Shi Fu by wtanaka (648), 25. April 2005
This is the best place I've found in town to get soy milk. The soy milk has always been hot, and they still make it into the afternoon.
Review of Li Ming by wtanaka (648), 25. April 2005
I really like the potato and mushroom dishes here.
