Govnt Workers Ease Traffic

  Joined: 2005-04-24 Points: 648 | I hear that, in an attempt to ease traffic for the Greater Mekong Subregion summit in Kunming on July 4 and 5, most government workers are getting 4 days of holiday, so that they aren't on the roads during that time. Kind of makes you wonder how essential those particular government jobs are... 3 cheers for bureaucracy! |

Ay my university in Kunming, staff had to work on Saturday to make up for one of the days they will have a holiday.
I believe that this way, they also get to have Wednesday 6th July off. It doesn't really affect their work because the teaching year ended last week. This week is officially study week for students that still have final exams next week.
Many students and staff have already packed and are heading home for the summer vacation.
