This site was originally going to only be a map of Zhongdian that you would be able to navigate around.

Since that naïve time, many changes have happened. Google maps has created two versions of a public API to include their maps on other web pages, and the number of users that land on this site has gone up and up.

Unfortunately, dynamically generating a map uses a lot of server resources, and I don't think I would be able to make such a feature support a lot of traffic without an inordinate amount of work.

So, especially since this unoften used feature seems to have been broken by one of my recent optimizations to the site, it's time to say goodbye to it.

The google map locator, which puts the city or place on a google map, will still exist, and any requests for the old map pages will redirect to the appropriate new map page.
