This is a view of a portion of Mingyong Glacier with Mount Kawa Karpo vanishing into the clouds in the background. This was taken on our visit there in 2004. What an idyllic spot! I could live out the rest of my days in this area. Are you listening, Friends of China - USA? Thanks to Jeff and the rest of the Crosby's for getting us to visit Yunnan, and to our daughter, Amber for insisting we visit the Deqin area.
