I would like to personally invite you for an evening of theater in Chengdu.
My good friend, Elyse Ribbons from the good old USA is staging her play
"Lethal English" in Chengdu. Her first play in China, "I Heart Beijing" was a
great success story and very well-received in Beijing and Ms. Ribbons
plans to tour major cities in China with her Cheeky Monkey Theater
Company; Chengdu being one of the major stops. Let's support an
enterprising young artist and actress and come out and see the show.
Stage backgrounds and graphics for the show were done by my own
Middle Kingdom Studios in Chengdu and I would obviously like you to come

Created by Elyse Ribbons, Cheeky Monkey Theater is at the forefront of
the booming China performance arts scene, producing original works based
on life in contemporary China.
Touted by the South China Morning Post as a bridge for the cultural gap
between China and the Western world, Cheeky Monkey’s latest
production is "Lethal English."
Taking theater to a new level, "Lethal English" is an action packed film-
noire murder mystery inspired by dime novels, Hollywood-style police
dramas and crime-scene comic books.
The story is about an English teacher in China who sticks her nose into
other peoples’ business and finds her quiet life spiraling out of control in
a case involving police corruption, corporate espionage and murder.
Performed twice nightly, in Chinese then English, "Lethal English" will
challenge and excite audiences with a multi-media theatrical performance
unlike any seen before.
Shows will be performed in Chengdu on the 21st, 22nd and 23rd of March.
