You Yi / Poachers Hostel - Good hostel, ruined by location.

Or possibly, a good location ruined by a Lowai hostel.

Even though the hostel itself is tolerably clean, reasonably quiet and has staff who are friendly enough I cannot reccomend this as a good place to stay. The problem is it's location. It is impossible to move the 20 meters from the hostel to the nearest taxis without (often literally) fighting off between five and ten beggars (who will physically grab you and try to "massage" your pockets why screaming "MONEY" at you. Once you are clear of them you will then be approached by drug sellers (I suspect an organised group in the area as they are all of the same non-asian ethnicity and share similiar accents) and the pimps who will follow you screaming "Lady Bar! Cheap! Just for you! Pretty Ladies!"

In short, if you're a whoring drunken stoner ass this may be the place for you, but I cannot reccomend it to worthwhile human beings.

Getting a Taxi from the location is easy, but watch the meters. Getting a Taxi _to_ the location may be a bit tougher.
