Chinese animal lovers pay their last respects to Mei Mei, a giant panda that had died at a grand old age of 36, at a zoo in Guilin, south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, July 12, 2005. Mei Mei was the world's oldest panda raised in captivity. The normal life span of the giant panda is 25 years, so Mei Mei's was the equivalent of over 100 in human years, Xinhua news agency reported.
