Yunnan snub-nosed monkeys(Golden hairde monkeys) Ranked as one of the most endangered animals in China and in the world this species of monkey lives at an altiude of 3000-4700 meters above sea-level in virgin conifer and thocdendron forests. The Yunnan snub-monkey is found in north .western Yunnan province and in south -easttern tibet. only thirteen froups of yunnan snub-nosed monkeys remain extant including only 1000-1500 imminent extinction!

Where does an adventure begine, it's a question I'm always asking my self, this time it was at 7am, peddling my way up a logging road on the way to some typical B.C. back country. my plane ticket out of the country was on the back of my mind, but for the time it was the road that lead to this road that was on my mind.

About a week before I was driving to a treeplanting contract, where I picked up a female hitch hiker and her dog. she was travelin across Canada, riding here thumb, a routine I know only too well. along the road we swapped stories and drank beer before I dropped her in the middle of the fraser canyon, my self about to spend a last week slamming trees into the steep ground sounrounding the canyon, she was going to dip her toes in the pacific ocean before heading back east. I'm not sure why, but that day seems like the start of this adventure!

Probably the most special and original local hostel in Beijing, The hostel is so fantastic. It hides behind the street, deeply and quietly in a Hutong (historical narrow alley) and Si He Yuan (a kind of old style Chinese house), full of Beijng’s local taste. It impresses with its beautiful garden courtyard, super clean bathrooms, cheap private rooms, city center location, considerable service and brand new facilities. Of course, warm English speaking staff is more essential.

Beijing Lotus Hostel

Our hostel is located in one of Peking’s exquisite traditional neighborhoods known as hutongs.  As Beijing grows and modernizes many hutongs are being destroyed. However, recently the government has designated certain hutongs to be protected and preserved as historical and cultural spaces. Our hostel is situated within one of these protected areas. Our particular neighborhood was formed in the Yuan Dynasty (1279-1368) and has retained its original scale and structure through the Ming and Qing dynasties and up to the present.

In my China living time, something would never be forgetted. The templeside house hostel was one of them. Although the hostel is famous on the internet now, I still want to mention its website www.templeside.com, since it gave me such a beautiful unmoveable memory.

在北京西城区的阜成门内大街上，有两座著名的寺院，一为白塔寺，一为广济寺，二者相隔不过几里路，就在它们之间的一大片老胡同院落历史保留区内，坐落着一家非常不一般的小小旅店，这就是北京“广济邻”国际青年旅舍。

每天找聊天的地方。终于找到了一个好地方。就是这个地方。
