Dear friends,

As promised, here is my last photo journal for 2005. It contains 142 photos on various part of Hong Kong which I think it is worth seeing even though many of you may or may not been to Hong Kong.

Hong Kong is unique in a way because of its contrasting character. Old and New, West and East, Stylish and Mass Production. Like it or not, this town planning nightmare makes Hong Kong the city where it take your breath away. I mean who on earth would think of building an airport in the middle of the city? Oh, and who would want to build a city in an Island only with barren rocks with absolutely no fresh water supplies? Yes, only in Hong Kong.

Having said that, Hong Kong was blessed in the last 150 years to be one of the safest place in Asia. Okay, minus the 3 years 8 months occupation by the Japanese. Business is good and people just love it here to make their millions. Today, Hong Kong has a population of 7 million and is the most densely populated city in the world.

Okay, I better show you the photos before you all get bored with my "Master of Obvious" speech.

Enjoy and I wish you all a happy new year!

Best regards,

Wilson888

This part of Hong Kong is so expensive that even the entrance to the MTR station can be by lift.

Entrance and exit from Causeway Bay MTR station.

SOGO, the famous Japanese Department Store. There are so many Japanese department stores here people called it little Toyoko.

Causeway Bay by Night. Hope you're not lost.

Let's have a look around Causeway Bay, shall we?

Follow me, I don't want you to get lost here...

Okay, I am now taking you to Times Square Hong Kong (not New York).

You still with me? Don't get lost...

Santa looking to get it? Looks like he can't pass through the security.

Or King Kong dress up as Santa?

Times Square, Hong Kong. (Causeway Bay)

Times Square is actually quite amazing. It is a building totally dedicated to shopping and eating. It has 4 floors below ground devoted to shopping and another 12 floors up again devoted to shopping. I guess from 13 floors upwards are resturants and bars. The infamous China Jump was here, where the England Team was pissed drunk.

ditto

Hong Kong is totally devoted to shopping.

Can you understand why now?
